One evening, I was looking up what to eat in the area and decided I wanted some Chinese food. Looked up this place, which happened to only be a few minutes from where I was. Ok great!
Pulled up to the plaza... oh boy... It seriously needed some upgrading. The whole place was dated and looked like it was a ghost town, but they say that great food come from hole-in-the-wall places so I said fuck it whatever.
Went inside and ordered their candied walnut shrimp, sauteed A Choy (MY ALL TIME FAVORITE DISH), and I think it was some other beef dish. Let me just say, this place is an unknown gem - I would say a best kept secret!
Some of the best flavors I've ever had. I find myself craving their food at least a few times a month. I've always wondered why they weren't popular... I am sad that just when I discovered this place, it is closing down for good in a few months. Oh well... hopefully they'll consider opening up at a different location one day! -

Came here after a friend was craving some Korean-Chinese food, and it is definitely a solid option.
Black Bean Noodles (AKA Jja jjang myun): Tried the vegetarian version and the beef version. Both were delicious and was a good amount. The Noodles are skinnier than other black bean noodle dishes, but it was very chewy. We all liked this dish and agreed that it was not too oily, which we all enjoyed as well. Definitely would get this again
Hot Seafood Noodle Soup (AKA Jjamppong): This was kinda a miss for us. It uses the same kind of noodles as the black bean, and there was a good amount of seafood, but the flavor was a little bit watery, and the flavor wasn't PACKING as other places that I've tried.
General Chicken (AKA Kampong chicken): If you're Korean, you know that this is a staple with your black bean noodle. This was absolutely delicious! We all agreed that this was probably the best thing that we ordered. The chicken was fried with a delicious crispy batter, and the sauce was soooo flavorful! Highly recommend this!
Tldr; jjajang myun is good, definitely get the general chicken. Would skip the jjamppong. If I'm in the area and I'm craving some Korean-Chinese food, would hop into this place! -

I've been coming to this place since my birth in 1998. My grandfather and grandmother, my mom and everyone in my family love The China Station. This place is authentic, beautiful, handcrafted, and dear to my heart. To hear they might close, really makes me upset but to know Steve the owner and his main man Dave know how to create amazing Chinese food. You should go if you like Chinese food because I don't know how long they will be there so definitely check it out if you haven't.

First time customer and I wasn't disappointed! They've been around for over 30 years and I can see why. Great quality, great taste, and willing to tweak all meals to meet your dietary needs. They even gave me a free side of rice since it was my first time. Will definitely be returning to get my fix again soon

China Station, 303 N. Harbor Blvd, reopened after a short closing. When I went in on the reopening, Oct.1st, the restaurant was transformed. It had new carpet, new paint and it looked spectacular! The food is still fabulous, if not better, and the service was A+! I am writing this on Sat. Oct. 5th because my husband wanted Chinese from China Station again. It is genuine Chinese cuisine. Check them out. You'll be amazed.
